For over 20 years, Ängsbacka has gathered participants, teachers, musicians, and creators, at many unforgettable festivals and courses dedicated to transformational experiences and celebration of life — each unique unto itself. Over these years we have grown into a global tribe, community connected by Ängsbacka’s magic and togetherness that is committed to personal expansion and life-altering discoveries. As the reality makes it challenging to gather physically we wish to keep our Spirits high and find new ways to be together. Let us be hopeful that our individual and collective challenges during this time will create something meaningful and worthwhile.

To fully meet the ongoing reality we decided to make Ängsbacka accessible globally, live and digitally. This our first full ONLINE experience yet with the solid anchoring in the familiar spaces of Ängsbacka. We will be offering many of the beloved traditions of our “in person” events – morning practice and meetings, concerts, ceremonies, sharing, workshops and presentations by amazing teachers and workshop leaders!

We will be live-streaming directly from Ängsbacka and there will be additional teachers joining from other places on the planet. This New Year we will boldly celebrate and dance forward. We invite all people on the globe to participate in their own space and time yet connected and in togetherness.

Marie Bergman

Toning and Holding meditation for Hope and Healing

Marie shows the benefits of Toning and Chanting. She will not use mantras though, but vowels and humming. She will connect the Toning with our deepest needs for health, growth and healing. She will show how the vibration in the tone deeply connects to our nervous system and stimulates the Vagusnerve which is the magic pathways inside us, that holds it all.

We use the breath, the inner chakra connection and the intention of the thought and we embrace our natural born voices in the Toning which is much easier than singing. But it can be a beneficial way to learn to own your authentic singing voice as well if you so wish.

Marie will also lead us through a very special toning meditation, the Holding, where she uses her old Tibetan singing bowls. She learned this meditation from one of her spiritual teachers, Misa Hopkins, www.misahopkins.com She got in contact with Misa Hopkins when she searched for a meditation that would help her through a serious knee injury. She learned that Holding meditation is a heritage from indigenous old culture, Misa´s mother is Cherokee. Holding meditation were introduced when young women got their menos.

Marie is one of Scandinavia's most famous artists and sing-and-song-writers with a long ongoing musical life, with many successful tours on clubs and concert houses around the Nordic countries and over twenty CD releases. Besides her personal own songwriting carrier, she has represented Sweden in the European Song Contest three times and she was promoted for the Swedish music hall of fame 2018.

Marie has ongoing, beside her musical carrier for thirty years, studied, researched and developed different schools of creativity, therapies on, self-worth, healing and human resources and consciousness. Spiritual health and wellness with the human voice as a unique catalyst is her endless source. The Voice is the innate healer.

She is a diplomated qigong teacher since 25years, educated in different kind of therapy arts like Psychodrama, EFT, Matrix Reimprinted, Symbol and Art therapy, Sound healing, Peter Hess Klangtherapy. She is also diplomated Sleep Coach.

Since eleven years Marie has performed community Toning ceremonies in one of Stockholms most beautiful grand churches, the Katarina church. Hundreds of people are coming to participate in this togetherness and share their ”Tone of Life”. This year she is live streaming the ceremony from the church on new years eve.

Susannah Grover

Susannah Grover

The Mysterious dance of one's Being... Becoming

Susannah became a student of Zen in 1969, and later was initiated into Tibetan Buddhism via His Holiness Karmapa XVI in 1977. Her Sufi teacher initiated her as a teacher in the Indian Chishti lineage in 1974.

Susannah was a lay midwife doing home births and at the same time was sitting with the dying as a hospice worker (1974-82). She was appointed to be the California State Psychiatric Patients’ Rights’ Advocate-Ombudsman, where her job was to defend the rights of both psychiatric patients and the elderly in locked facilities (1977-78). She later became a Doctor of Chiropractic, Craniopathy and Homeopathy in 1983 and ran her own alternative healing clinic near San Francisco (1984-2005).

Upon meeting the Oracle of Tibet in 1994, he requested that Susannah start teaching spiritual work. One of her teachers, Moriah St. Clair, who was the founder of Beyond Words and Pathways United, made Susannah her successor (2008).

Susannah was a student in the Diamond Approach (1986-2017), where she also trained as a teacher, and she taught groups in the U.S., Australia and Europe for 21 years, from 1996-2017. She resigned from the organization in 2017.

Susannah loves being at Ängsbacka, where she has also taught (2008-2017) and most recently she presented at the No Mind Festival there (2017). She has also been extensively mentored by a Bodynamics™ psychotherapist, and is currently a faculty member of ZIST Psychotherapy Academy, Germany.

Most of all, perhaps, Susannah experiences herself to be a witness to the Miraculous. This what she wishes for every participant in the group, as well.

Susannah is accompanied by her husband, Paul, who is also a teacher in his own right, as well as an artist, writer and cook, adding his full support to the operation and holding of the group field.

Zen Coaching

We ARE what we long for.

Tools to find the 'yes' and allowance for our inner pain and discomfort, resulting in deep healing.

Kåre Landfald wondered about the nature of his own being, and the nature of authentic human connection since his teenage years. In time, after many years and detours, this interest led to the development of Zen Coaching as a door to inner wisdom and empowered living. Kåre has developed Zen Coaching with inspiration from many sources, such as Thich Nhat Hanh (Vietnamese Zen Master), Marshall B Rosenberg (Nonviolent Communication), and A.H. Almaas (Diamond Approach). He now offers one-year training in Zen Coaching, advanced Zen Coaching Training, private sessions, and training and team coaching for companies and organizations. Kåre was earlier the owner-manager of Ängsbacka. He has also worked internationally with human development for the United Nations and other organizations.

A New Way of Relating with Nature
15:15 - 16:15
Interview with Pella Thiel

Pella Thiel

A New Way of Relating with Nature

Interview/Talk”

Pella will talk about how the transition to a society in harmony with nature needs new rules. Rules in the shape of laws which hold us collectively accountable to a duty of care for Nature, instead of a duty of profiting from it. Ecocide as an international crime is a law for duty of care at the highest level. Pella will talk about how in the last year this law went from being seen as utopian to a credible policy proposal with support from an increasing number of actors.

Pella Thiel is a maverick ecologist and activist who works with relational, systemic activism, change processes and leadership för a society in harmony with nature.

She is a knowledge expert in the UN Harmony with Nature initiative and co-founder of Swedish hubs of international networks like Swedish Transition Network, End Ecocide Sweden (currently chairperson), Save the Rainforest Sweden and the Swedish Network for Rights of Nature (currently coordinator). Susannah Grover

Inneffable Stream

Bobshop about friendship - Words and meditation

Bob Hansson, one of Sweden's most popular and read poets, was born in 1970 in Helsingborg. With a desire to change the world, Bob began writing at an early age and with desire as a source of inspiration, he continued. In 2010, he was awarded the Swedish Radio Short Story Prize and was named "Hero of Freedom of Expression" by ALIS. He was also the first to claim the Swedish Championship winner in the Poetry Slam in 1995.

Going his own way has its price and the road to success has not been without setbacks or resistance. Bob's stubbornness, which he praises today, often created problems during his upbringing and schooling. But thanks to his unique approach to life, Bob Hansson has now been a popular lecturer and workshop leader for over twenty years.

Can we be in allowance of what IS and explore creativity on our way home to ourselves? Let’s be together in the spirit of vulnerability and kindness!

Pink Tantra

Pink Tantra is a personal experiential journey into rising energies, personal liberation, biological transformation and bliss.

Blake Steele is the founder of Pink Tantra for the West. He has taught it at festivals, Courses, and On-line classes for the last 7 years. He has been practicing it for the last 20 years. Blake is an author with 15 books, a poet with over 4,000 poems, a recording artist and international workshop leader. He is known for making complex things simple and inspiring people towards personal freedom with great Love.

WHAT IS PINK TANTRA?

Pink Tantra is about wholeness and reconnection with your deepest essence in Love. It is about sacredness, rising awareness, and the higher transformative possibilities of sexual ecstasy and energy. It is about accessing and releasing your own inner powers of self-healing and rejuvenation. And it is about creativity, grace, and freedom too. It honors your soul; strengthens your self-respect and clarifies the boundaries you need to safely grow. It embraces every aspect of your precious, mysterious being and awakens you to your higher potential to live in Light and Love more constantly and fully.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

It is a dynamic play of 4 powerful principles, found in the higher teachings of both east and west, applied in simple exercises that generate an energetic movement through every level of your being. This energy movement becomes your own inner teacher and guide. It empowers you. It heals you. It frees you to be your most genuine divine/human self.

IN THIS CLASS I will help you understand the teaching clearly and we will do some exercises to give you a taste of the simplicity, joy and power of this process.

CONNECTION

Our online events always start with connecting in a welcome ceremony on the first day.

This feeling of togetherness will be felt the whole event through distance bridging activities like live concerts, open stages and dances.

FOLLOW YOUR FLOW

Each day you have multiple practices, workshops and talks to choose from, and in the evenings there are concerts, dance or an open stage to end the day with.

If you missed a workshop or practice or simply want to revisit it, all that is on the online program will be recorded and available to you for 8 weeks after the event.

Our festivals offer you the chance to try out various workshops and activities based on one’s own longing in the present moment. We aim to set each time slot in the program so there is something for everyone, regardless if one wants to join a workshop or listen to a deepening interview or inquiry with one of the many teachers.

SHARING

During the festival you will participate in a daily sharing circle. Together you create a sacred space for open-hearted and attentive listening. One person shares at a time, while the others sit in silence paying attention to the person sharing. Everyone in the group will have the same amount of time available to them and everything that is said or done within this sacred space stays there, you do not bring it up outside sharing.

Here we can integrate experiences by putting words to them. This is a good place to land, a grounding place to come to every day. And a place where friendships for life can be born.

Sharing is optional, select your choice on the check-out page.

How does an online Ängsbacka event work?

Our intentions is to bring as many of the ‘normal’ Ängsbacka event aspects into the online event, it is however different. It is important to know exactly how an online Ängsbacka event works so you can get the best experience possible.

How can I access the event?

After purchasing a ticket for the event you will receive an email from us containing a link to the event page. This is a restricted page so you have to *login with your username and password to see the actual content.

If you have not received the email, please check your spam folder / promotion folder.

* In case this event is your first purchase at Ängsbacka Online you will also receive an email containing an automatically generated username and password needed for you to have access to the restricted content.

Are there any technical requirements?

For the Online event we use two different methods to deliver the content of the event to all participants to ensure the best experience. For broadcasts (Morning practices, Ceremonies, Sound experiences, Concerts, etc.) we embed the video directly on the event page. In case of Workshops and for the daily Sharing Groups we make use of Zoom. All links to the actual workshops will become available on the event page.

Read more about the system requirements for ZOOM. Download the ZOOM meetings client.

Can I use my smartphone to participate in the event?

Yes, but we are concerned it might not give you the best possible experience.

Make sure your internet package is sufficient and your connection is stable and fast enough to work with live video conferencing. We highly recommend to use a device with a bigger screen if you have at hand, such as a tablet or a computer.

Will the recorded materials be available online after the event?

All recorded materials will be available for at least 8 weeks after the event ends. Some teachers might prefer that their sessions are not  recorded at all, for various reasons.

We would really like our events to be a space in which we can all freely express ourselves and feel safe. At the same time we want everyone to have access to the workshops that have passed in case they missed it or just want to revisit a workshop. To do so we are keen on recording all ZOOM meetings except the daily Sharing groups.

If you have concerns about this in terms of your personal safety or your freedom of expression, etc., we have some options for you:

1. Participate Using a Nickname. You can participate in the event under a nickname. In order to do this click ”participants” on the menu at the bottom of the screen, find yourself on the list of participants on the right side and change your name by selecting the ”rename” button. We encourage you to change your nickname 5 minutes before a workshop takes of to ensure your real name is not in the final recording..

2. Click “Stop Video”. If you do not want others to see the image from your camera but you do not mind having your voice recorded then click “stop video” in the lower left corner of the screen. If you choose this option we highly recommend that you create a Zoom account prior to the event (use the same email as for the event) and add a profile picture/graphic of yourself, which will remain visible during the conversation, this helps other participants easily find you on the screen and sense your presence even though they don’t see you moving.

3. Let us know after a recording has been made that you wish to be taken out of it and we will “edit” you out. More options are available such as: blurring your face and audio processing your voice so it is not recognizable. We take your request very seriously. You can email your requests to online@angsbacka.se accompanied by the name of the workshop and your name.

4. Share from yourself only in “breakout rooms” and not in the main workshop room. Breakout rooms are not being recorded.

5. Do Not Attend. If none of these options work for you, it is best for you to not attend this event, we understand and feel sad if you decide to go with this option.

How does the Online Sharing Group work?

Every day of the event, at 15:00, all who choose to join a sharing group will enter the Sharing meeting on ZOOM as will be announced on the event page. On the first day there will be an introduction on Sharing after which everyone will be send to ‘Breakout Rooms’ in groups of four.

One person shares, while the others sit in silence paying attention to the person sharing. Everyone in the group will have the same amount of time available to them, and everything that is said or done stays in the group. We do not bring it up again outside of sharing.

Sharing is an essential and honored practice at Ängsbacka, and we welcome you to this special space with the sensitivity and open-heartedness that is at its core.

In case you sit with additional questions concerning the event and how it will take place, don’t hesitate to contact us.
Your Online experience matters to us
